Scientist (Tenure Track) for Battery Aging and Safety – 11198
Responsibilities:
– Lead research in rechargeable batteries focusing on aging mechanisms and processes, and battery safety
– Develop novel methods for materials, electrodes, electrolytes, and their interphase characterization
– Publish research results in scientific journals and present at conferences
– Support in acquiring funding and executing projects
– Supervise Master and PhD students, and postdocs
– Manage laboratory equipment and infrastructure
– Assist in safety related tasks
Qualifications:
– PhD degree in rechargeable batteries
– Post-PhD experience in lithium and sodium batteries and electrochemistry
– Experience in Online/Differential Electrochemical Mass Spectrometry (OEMS/DEMS)
– Familiarity with operando characterization methods at large-scale facilities
– Excellent team player abilities and communication skills
– Experience in student supervision and collaborative research
– Excellent command in English and basic knowledge of German
