Responsibilities:
– Leading, Motivating and developing the Product Design & Engineering Global Team
– Enable the development of products that meet customer needs and anticipate future market trends and global account technology roadmaps.
– Strengthen global organization through technical training and process global standardization
– Ensuring that processes between the teams run efficiently (interfaces to process engineering, sales, production, project teams, etc.)
– Implementing the global product design strategy while considering quality and economic aspects
– Evaluate new process technologies and proposals for technical solutions
– Developing and defining products and components according to customer specifications and industry-specific standards
– Leading projects and ensuring that costs, deadlines and quality are met
– Coordinate with the Sales and Production departments to further develop products and processes
– Responsible for the development of automation solutions and equipment for spring production
– Creating concepts and Design drafts
– Creating and maintaining product data and material master data
– Defining, creating and maintaining product documentation (FMEA, risk analysis, spare parts concept, operating instructions)
– Supporting prototypes until they are ready for production
– Planning, co-ordinating and implementing changes
– Taking on tasks in CAD system administration as a possible, extended field of activity
Qualifications:
– BSc degree in engineering or relevant technical field
– Experience in mechanical engineering and project management (Development and Design)
– Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop teams
– Good knowledge of MS-Office and CAD, experience with SolidWorks is a plus
– Experience in working with an ERP system, experience with SAP is a plus
– Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear manner in German and English
